The Angel Tree – Daphne Benedis-Grab

Who’s really behind the Angel Tree? No one knows, but these kids are determined to find out! Lucy, Cami, Max, and Joe attend Pine River Middle School, and they all want to learn who is behind this Christmas mystery. Through the story they all learn lots of things but, you’ll never know what until you read the book…!

The Angel Tree is a heartwarming Christmas mystery and a wonderful story of friendship! Every Christmas, in the small town of Pine River, a tree appears in the town square (The Angel Tree.) Some peangeltreeople tie wishes to the tree, while others make those wishes come true. Nobody knows where the tree comes from, and the mystery has always been part of the tradition’s charm.

My favorite part is when Lucy, Cami, Max, and Joe each go through something terrible before christmas, yet they still have the love and christmas spirit to do something nice for someone else. This is important to me because it shows that even if some kids don’t have the best lives, they can still have the love and cheer to do something nice for someone else. This book has taught me many things like being thankful for what I have, being kind and loving to other people, and getting out of my comfort zone.

If you are someone who loves a mystery and enjoys suspense this story is for you! If you like stories of friendship, with happy endings, no matter how old you are, trust me this is the perfect book for you!

I give this book 5***** out of 5***** stars because it had a really good storyline with lots of detail. It is one of the best books I’ve ever read!
